Calgary Confederation

Welcome to the Calgary Confederation Conservative Association Website. Our Association is a strong, active group of volunteers who are promoting the Conservative Party of Canada in the Electoral District of Calgary Confederation.

Our over-riding mission is two-fold:

to elect our candidate Elan Harper to help elect a Conservative Government in Ottawa

Our Association is run by a Board of Directors who are elected annually by Members of the Conservative Party of Canada who live within the boundaries of Calgary Confederation. These volunteers are guided by our Constitution with an objective of supporting the Principles, Policies and Objectives of our Party.

Our activities include:

OUR CANDIDATE – ELAN HARPER
Elan Harper - Calgary Confederation Conservative Candidate

On March 29, 2026, over four hundred members gathered to listen to the candidate speeches and vote in the nomination meeting.

With Elan as our candidate, we're confident we'll be able to make this riding blue again, and win Calgary Confederation.

Elan leads the Canadian corporate tax department at a national accounting firm, served as the policy lead for Finance, Tax and Energy for the Conservative Party, and will be able to introduce policies that will fix Canada's lagging economy and boost our productivity. Elan and her husband Robert have lived in Confederation for over 30 years, and Elan has served in numerous volunteer roles in North-West Calgary.

Statement From: Pierre Poilievre — May 29, 2026

Canada is now in a recession. And Mark Carney is now the only leader of a G7 country presiding over one.

Every major economy is facing the same global challenges. Every country is dealing with tariffs and economic uncertainty. Yet Canada stands alone.

Canadians have learned over the past 11 years that excuses, speeches, buzzwords, and signing ceremonies do not grow the economy. Yet, the Liberals keep trying these same tactics over and over again, expecting different results.

Canada is the only G7 country in a recession because the Carney Liberals hiked industrial carbon taxes, kept anti-development laws, and doubled Trudeau's deficit. Canadians are paying the price.

Families are worried about their jobs. Businesses are delaying investment. Workers are wondering what comes next.

Conservatives are fighting for a different path. We want to unleash Canadian energy, repeal laws that block development, bring home investment, create good-paying jobs, and lower costs for Canadian families.
